Will's first cake!

Two weeks ago we had Jennifer and Brent's lake baby shower. It was so much fun. I did a cake for baby Will (his first Cajun Cakery Cake). It was a chocolate fudge cake with oreo buttercream filling. There was lots of food and plenty of games. Here are a couple of pics of the event.

This week I will be working on Will's Cake for Jennifer's Orlando shower. It will be a combination of modern circles to go with her invitations and baby animals for Will's room.

Dragonfly Baby Shower

This is by far one of my favorite cakes that I have done. It was alot of fun to create and to execute. I did it awhile back and forgot to post it! It was for my friend Amie (one of my biggest supporters) so I am guessing that it was a Choclate Butter Cake with Raspberry Filling and Vanilla Buttercream. Its her favorite! Here are the pictures! Cake Contest

Ok it has been awhile since a post but I will be posting alot more now that I have settled into my new job. I have a couple of cakes that I will be posting soon from the last month. Most of them for baby Will!

Isn't he cute! Well at least his mom is! I'm already smitten with this little boy and he is going to be the most spoiled kid. What am I going to spoil him with you ask? CAKE...of course!

Ok back to what I originally came here to post about. Last year I wanted to enter this cake contest called Threadcakes. Its a contest where you take a Threadless t-shirt design and interpret it in cake. I am determined to do it and I think I have found my design!!

But there are 100's to choose from so here are a couple of others that I like.

Purse Cake

I was excited to get to make Amber's 21st Birthday cake. It was a great challenge and a great experience to take on her Louis Vuitton style cake. The cake was vanilla with a vanilla buttercream. Hope you had a great birthday Amber!

Farm Animal Cake

Liz and TJ are having a baby!! Colton is due in April and all of us at the Lake are really excited. The baby shower was perfect. I did a farm animal cake for Liz since she is a vet and works with horses! Both tiers are Vanilla with Chocolate Fudge Filling! MMmmmmm!

Engagement Cake

This is the third cake for the Blankenship family and I was very happy to get to do Courtney's Brothers engagement cake. The Bottom tier was Vanilla with Raspberry Filling and the top layer was chocolate with Raspberry Filling. The design was based off of this invitation. Congrats to the happy couple!
